About Novigrad - General Information about Novigrad in Istria - Croatia
The town of Novigrad is located on the north-western coast of Istrian peninsula, and 25 kilometers distant from the Slovenian border, therefor with European Union. Approx. 15 kolometers separates Novigrad from nearby town centers of Porec, Umag and Buje.
The town area spreads on 27 square kilometers, from Dajla on the north to the mouth of river Mirna on the south. Town's area is consisted of 5 settlements, and those are: Antenal, Buzinija, Dajla, Mareda and Novigrad.
According to last census from 2001 the area of Novigrad has 4 002 inhabitants, thereof 1 889 male and 2 113 female. Total number of employees was then 1627, of which was 871 men and 756 women.
